After several months with an empty stage, all of us here at the Lyon Opera House are happy to be back and we look forward to welcoming you again from September for a brand-new season!
To make your visit as enjoyable and as safe as possible, we have put in place a series of measures in line with the government’s Covid-19 safety guidelines :
> Social distancing (one seat left empty between each audience member or group of audience members) will be in place throughout the season :
– Bookings made from Oct. 1, automatically take this social distancing into account;
– For bookings made before Oct. 1, the ticket holders concerned wil be sent information with details on how the social distancing will be implemented.
> Visitors should sanitise their hands on entering the opera house, using the gel provided.
> Masks must be worn at all times throughout the building, including the entrance hall and in the auditorium during the performance.
> The cloakroom remains closed.
> Visitors should follow the directions indicated by the floor markings and keep to the designated waiting areas.
> The air handling units in all public areas are operating using 100% fresh air.
> All public areas are cleaned every day :
The main auditorium and the Amphitheatre are disinfected before each performance.
The entrance hall and the ticket office are disinfected several times a day when they are open to the public.
> The restaurant and bar areas are temporarily closed during performances.
> The Muses rooftop is open Wednesday through Saturday from 6.30 p.m. to 10 p.m., with stricter health and safety measures in place to combat the spread of Covid-19. Customers must leave their contact details in a book at the entrance (the information will be erased after 14 days ), there will be a one-metre gap between chairs at different tables, the number of people per table will be limited to a maximum of six and customers must wear a mask while waiting to be served and between courses.
These measures are subject to change, depending on the health situation and government recommendations to combat the spread of Covid-19.
Depending on developments, additional seats may be offered to the public, so we suggest that you sign up to the waiting list for any performances in which you are interested. That way, you will be among the first to be contacted if seats become available.
