Peristyle Festival 2020 – A New Concept
Given the particular circumstances this year, we have had to come up with a new format for the festival. So there will be no outside stage this year. Instead, the musicians will play in the Amphitheatre and the concerts will be broadcast live under the arches of the opera house.

Your evening

  • 1st set 7 p.m.
  • 2nd set 9 p.m.
  • Location Peristyle
  • Bar opening 6 p.m.

Genre should, of course, never be an issue, but the less relevant it is, the more it intrigues us. So, prog-rock ? Experimental music ? Psychedelic digressions ? Trance ?

Direction Survet, with its catchy name (right ?) is none of those things. It is more of a palimpsest bearing the traces of a myriad of parallel sound universes – the soundtrack of an intergalactic exploration film written by a German Philip K. Dick. The group has been around, more or less officially, for about 20 years and we are delighted they have chosen Opera Underground for their return.

Le Périscope
Since its creation in 2007, this “music laboratory and curiosity shop” has become an internationally famous institution, representing a genre that is rarely officially recognized.
Le Périscope has given a voice to creative music, jazz and improvisation – not only as a performance space but through the creation of a remarkable ecosystem that includes artist residencies, rehearsal spaces, and forums for collective reflection – while integrating into a European network where the Lyon-based club plays an increasingly important role.

With :
Stéphane Cézard : vocals, electric guitar-mandolin – Lucas Spirli : Wurlitzer, Ms 20, piano – Gandalf Goudard : bass keyboard – Sébastien Finck : vocals, drums

Livestream Concerts
The sets will also be streamed on our YouTube channel at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on concert nights !
